I shot this video in 1992. Listen carefully, Don says 1992. By the way
there were no carriers or air operations in Subic in 1999. Check out my
other video at Subic Bay Liberty USS Independence, 1992 Part 1.wmv, It was
also taken in 1992

Regarding questions where this video was taken, I took the video at Viva
Young bar on the right side of Gordon Ave in March 1992. With me were Don
Welty and his girlfriend. Don and I were stationed at VC-5 in Cubi Point at
the time.

Thanks for the video and memories. I spent time there during 1956 1957,
lots of changes. I still have trouble believing that they kicked us out,
the people were so grateful for the US saving them form the Japs.

same year. Plus he was also a cook his Last name is Lucero.

Just wondering…the voice in the bar scene clearly says, ”This is March
of 1999, do you know where your camera is?” Just confused me a little.
Anyway, I’m Army retired living in the PI, and my hats off to all who have
served. A good friend of mine from Philadelphia served on the Independence
in the 70’s and was cited for pulling a guy or 2 out of a burning fuel
fire. Thanks for your service guys!

isnt it just hypocritcal, how the USA makes “working ladies” illegal, yet
allows soldiers to visit working ladies from abroad. let’s face it, USA is
full of feminism bullshit. not to mention absurd divorce laws…haha

I was there in August 1990 for I think four days. Question — what was the
name of that bar you filmed the girls doing all the dancing (from about
6:30 to 9:30 on time line)? Looks fairly similar to the one I sat in for
several hours, would remember the name if someone said it…
